Welcome to Sundial Cottage
Relax with the whole family or friends at Sundial cottage. Jump in the Hot tub, enjoy the open plan kitchen and lounge along with three spacious bedrooms.
Perfect for walks in the North Yorkshire moors, or staying in catching up with friends or family.
Well behaved Pets are welcome at the cottage and there is private parking spaces for your convenience.
The Space
As you enter the cottage you have a bathroom and welcome area before you head through to the main part where you’ll enter the open plan kitchen and lounge area.
Upstairs are the three main bedrooms all off the same communal landing space. The larger bathroom is also located here.

Great hot tub!! The outside seating area was great too. Close to the seaside. Only minor grumble was a lack of places to eat out within walking distance but lots of takeaways!
We had a wonderful Christmas in Sundial Cottage. It was beautifully decorated and in a fantastic location, a min walk to shops and just 10 mins drive to Saltburn.
Cottage is very clean, stylish and well equipped. The hot tub in the garden is amazing, very private no one can overlook.
Tom is an amazing host who responds super quickly and being very helpful. Would highly recommend and return without hesitation.
My partner and I stayed for the weekend in Sundial House and had a great time. In summary:
The house:
Well equipped, newly appointed two story house with all amenities you need to stay for a few days or a few weeks. It has been newly renovated, is very clean and was a pleasure to come back to after a day out exploring. There are three bedrooms, we stay in the master bed room and the bed was very comfy. We cooked a meal one night and the kitchen had everything we needed to do so. Wifi as Tom mentioned is not city speeds but is good enough to stream movies without any lapses. The spa….amazing! Its easy to use and super private. While we stayed in winter, I imagine the outdoor area would be a great place to sit of an evening.
The area:
Sundial House is in a small town that has a well stocked Coop with an unusually large selection of alcohol, a few cafes, takeaways and pubs. we ate at The Deli at no. 85 one morning which was super friendly and delicious and at R & R Bistro one evening, a fine dining restaurant which uses seasonal produce, with a regularly changing menu, the owner and chef came out and talked to us for a bit which was great.
The drive to Whitby was about 30minutes along the coast with spectacular views, making the day out super easy to explore Whitby and nearby Robin Hoods Bay.
I’m glad we made the decision to stay here as it made our weekend away that bit more enjoyable.
